Digital Inclusion Policy
Accessibility Statement.
HCP Connect is committed to making our digital healthcare information and vaccine safety monographs accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities and diverse communication needs.
1. Conformance Status & Standards
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
2. Assistive Features Built into the Platform
Integrated speech synthesis allowing visually impaired users and auditory learners to listen to clinical summaries and news articles.
Interactive font-size magnification (Standard, Large, Extra Large) and high-contrast modes for low-vision readers.
One-click translation bars supporting major global languages to assist non-English speaking healthcare communities.
Prominent visual icons and modal notifications whenever links direct users outside of HCP Connect.
3. Technical Specifications
Accessibility of HCP Connect relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
- Semantic HTML5 elements with appropriate landmark roles (header, nav, main, aside, footer).
- WAI-ARIA attributes for dynamic components (dialogs, expandable sections, tab lists).
