Homelessness before and during pregnancy is linked to higher rates of severe maternal morbidity, preterm birth, and small for gestational age infants, especially among White and Asian women.

Effects of Parental Severe Mental Disorders on All-Cause and Suicide Mortalities in Adolescents and Young Adults With Major Depressive Disorder Offspring mortality linked to parental psychiatric diagnoses included paternal alcohol use disorder and maternal severe mental illnesses. Suicide risk was particularly elevated with maternal schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.
